The People Behind
Moolore
We set out to make digital money tools less intimidating — and more useful — for Malaysians at every stage of life.
Started from a Simple Observation
Moolore came together in 2021 when a small group of Putrajaya-based educators noticed something consistent: people were downloading budgeting apps, feeling confused within a week, and then abandoning them entirely. The problem was rarely the tools themselves — it was the lack of clear, calm guidance on how to actually use them.
We started with informal Saturday workshops at a shared office in Precinct 7. Word got around. Within six months, we had waiting lists. In 2022, we formalised into Moolore — a structured education provider focused entirely on the practical side of digital money organisation.
Today, our team runs workshops, an ongoing membership, and a multi-session programme that has helped hundreds of Malaysians approach their finances with more clarity, less anxiety, and genuine confidence in the tools they use every day.
Our Mission
To make digital money management tools accessible and understandable for every Malaysian — regardless of their background or prior experience with technology.
Our Approach
We teach tools — not advice. Our sessions are educational, practical, and completely neutral. We do not recommend specific financial decisions or positions on how you spend or save.
Our Values
Clarity over complexity. Patience over pressure. Relevant, localised content over generic online tutorials that do not reflect Malaysia's digital landscape.
The Moolore Team

Suraya Lim
Community & Support
Suraya manages participant support and facilitates our membership community. She makes sure every member feels welcome and finds the help they need without pressure.
Our Standards & Commitments
Up-to-Date Curriculum
Our materials are reviewed every quarter. If a tool changes or a new option becomes widely available in Malaysia, we update our guides within the month.
Data Privacy
We collect only what is needed to deliver our programmes. Participant data is never shared with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Neutral & Unbiased
Moolore does not receive referral fees from any app or platform we discuss. Our tool comparisons are based on usability and local availability only.
Small Group Sizes
We cap workshop attendance to ensure every participant gets adequate attention. No large, impersonal lecture-style sessions — practical interaction is central to how we teach.
Certificate of Attendance
Participants completing the Digital Literacy Programme receive a formal certificate confirming session attendance and completion of all programme components.
Feedback-Driven
Each cohort completes a detailed feedback form. We use the responses to refine sessions, adjust pacing, and add topics participants actually want covered.
Digital Money Tools Education in Malaysia
Malaysia has seen a rapid shift toward digital banking and e-wallet adoption over the past five years. Platforms like Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, MAE by Maybank, and various bank-linked budgeting features have become part of everyday life for many households. But adoption does not always mean confidence. Many Malaysians have these tools on their phones and use only a fraction of what they offer.
Moolore was built to bridge that gap. Our programmes do not teach financial strategy or investment decisions. Instead, we focus entirely on the practical knowledge needed to set up, navigate, and make the most of the digital tools themselves — budgeting apps, expense trackers, dashboard features, and the organisational workflows that help people see where their money goes.
The demand for this kind of education has grown steadily. Participants in our workshops have ranged from recent university graduates setting up their first budget tracker to parents in their fifties who want to understand why their children keep recommending certain apps. The common thread is a desire for calm, clear, non-judgemental guidance — which is what we aim to provide in every session.
Operating from Putrajaya, we serve participants across the Klang Valley and deliver online sessions for those based further afield. Our community membership extends access to people throughout Malaysia who cannot attend in person, giving them structured guidance and peer support regardless of location.
